2022 Miss Jabberwock Pageant
The Jabberwock program is an annual fundraising competition for young ladies in grades K-8th that reside in DeSoto County, MS. This pageant is designed to raise fund that support educational scholarships and other public service programs sponsored by the DeSoto County (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The participants engage in a series of programmatic initiatives and community service projects while they are competing to raise funds for the chapter.
The pageant has three competitive categories:
- Little Miss Jabberwock (grades K - 5th)
- Jr. Miss Jabberwock (grades 6th - 8th)
- Miss Jabberwock (grades 9th - 12th)
The participant who raises the most funds during the program will be crowned the winner in each category. They will receive cash and other prices as part of the package they receive as the winner.
This program launches annually in September with our parent and participant orientation and concludes the following February with a pageant that will allow the participants to showcase their talent and their oration skills. The pageant is free and open to the public so participants can invite family, friends, supporters, etc. to attend.
