How DCAC Began

The DeSoto County (MS) Alumnae Chapter was chartered on Saturday, April 5, 2014, by 35 DeSoto County residents. These enterprising women were committed to bringing the sorority's Five-Point Thrust program to all the residents throughout the county. The Five-Point Thrust program consists of initiatives that fall under Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health Awareness and Political Awareness and Involvement. The inaugural year focused on laying the foundation to bring the programs such as Delta Academy, Delta GEMS and EMBODI to the community.
